Radio Nationale
The Tunisian National Radio is the first general public radio of the country. It broadcasts mainly in literal Arabic and Tunisian dialect, although originally it was rather intended for French residents in Tunisia and the "natives" that is to say the local population.
It was launched October 15, 1938, in the month of Ramadan. At that time, following the initiative of the Council of the Popular Front, it had became popular and was successful among listeners beating BBC, Radio Rome, Radio Toulouse, Radio Alger, Radio Paris and Radio Bari.
