M’hamed Ben Mezri Ben Youssef
M'hamed Ben Youssef Ben Mezri is the founder, owner and manager of Dar Tunis Hebdo. His son Walid Ben M'Hamed Ben Youssef holds less than 1% of the shares of the publishing house. Mr. Ben Youssef, born in 1938, studied at the high school in Sousse before heading to Brussels to study at the Royal Military School where he studied humanities. He has the training of an officer. After returning to Tunisia he resigned from the military and decided to create a newspaper - Tunis-Hebdo. According to him, he was interested in politics and wanted to express himself through the newspaper. He founded Dar Tunis Hebdo in 1984 and the newspaper Al Khabar. Until recently he also wrote for the newspaper and has produced more than 1,000 editorials.
