Tunigate, created end of 2015, is according to its founders an 'information portal'. The site is a private project of Oussema Aribi, Majd Mustafa and Mohamed Amine Zgayya, who invest their own resources to maintain the site. Currently, the site achieves no benefit. The site is hosted by the company i-hosters. Before creating the site, they were already active on Facebook for about 2 to 3 years under the name 'Akhbar Tunis' which became the facebook page of Tunigate with the creation of the website. The site wants to be close to the people and the founders’ objective is that the website becomes the number 1 in Tunisia. A monthly magazine in Arabic 'tunigate' is planned for the future. The magazine will be for free, financed through advertising, distributed through their own network.
