Jawhara FM

General radio station that focuses on entertainment, music, culture, sport and information. It was launched on 25 July 2005, in celebration of the Tunisian Republic.

Jawhara FM is first radio to broadcast from the Sahel, where its name comes from as "Jawhara" means pearl in Arabic, referring to the Sousse region the "Pearl of the Sahel". Its the most popular radio in the Sahel region.

The Radio is owned by a group of businessmen close to the regime of Ben Ali. Its license was granted to Néji Mhiri, personal friend of Ben Ali.

Its Manager Ali Haj Youssef was director of the public radio station "Radio Youth".
