Hannibal TV
Hannibal TV is the first private television channel to have obtained an authorisation from the Tunisian authorities, under Ben Ali. It was launched in 2005 by businessman Larbi Nasra. In 2013, Mr. Nasra and his family sell most of their parts to Saudi and Tunisian businessmen. The founder of the station then decided to devote himself to his political activities.

The businessman Larbi Nasra launched the first private television channel in Tunisia, Hannibal TV on February 12, 2005, one year after obtaining the authorisation. In January 2011, after the departure of Ben Ali, he was arrested for one day for "high treason and conspiracy against the security of the state", accused of spreading false information. He was arrested along with his son, Mehdi Nasra, married to a member of the Trabelsi family. In November 2013, he sells nearly 90% of the shares of Hannibal TV and then entered politics. He founded a political party in June 2014 and was a candidate in the presidential election of 2014, where he won 0.2% of votes.
