Essahafa Alyawm

Essahafa Alyawm is an Arabic daily. As La Presse de Tunisie it is published by SNIPE. It was founded on 10 January 1989 as an evening paper. On 14 March 1989 it became the daily Essahafa. In 2011, when Essahafa was in a loss-making situation, the paper underwent a crisis when the former CEO of the SNIPE, Hmida Ben Romdhane, announced to stop its publication. Following contestation, Essahafa was neither shut down nor restructured.
